Paper Poet, New Westminster is holding a Meet Up to swap Artist Trading Cards this Friday. This is the first ATC I've ever made. Of course I'd use a combo of die cutting and quilling, and somehow express who I am (a combo of die cutting and quilling). What I like the most is how the owl puffs up simply with a folded half moon on the top of his head. Please leave a comment - I really enjoy your feedback.

Hoot Hoot, thanks Paula!
Deleteyes really really cute Cecelia. I made a lime green owl at work out of tissue. Some customers think the colour is too 'out there' but looks like we are on the same page...love the colour of yours.
ReplyDeletealso love how you gave it dimension with the folded half moon.
Hi Cheryl, thanks so much! That must be how they came up with the phrase "birds of a feather, flock together"! LOL
DeleteThis is just adorable! I love the colors. It's fun and so unique. Fantastic for your first time making an ATC. It's original which is hard to come by.
ReplyDeleteThanks Arlene, that's so kind of you to say. Yes, it does feel like there are so many great ideas out there already that's hard to feel original.
DeleteSo cute...I love it! can you see my avatar? Owls are so interesting...what die cut did you use?
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing
bibiana
Hi Bibiana, thanks for commenting. Yes, I think I've discovered just how expressive owls can be. It's hard to see your avatar because it's so small, but I can just make out your own. I use a digital die cutter called Silhouette SD. I custom design my own shapes in a program called Adobe Illustrator.

This owl is just the cutest! I love how you combined the quilling & Die cutting together. What an amazing ATC. Thank you for playing along with us at Die Cut Divas.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Paula - glad you like it :D
