Yes, the brand I was disappointed in was Elmer's, which was so watery it practically warped the quilling strip.Paper Zenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07196789247385275477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428734466580440271.post-54544888152511631072012-08-29T09:32:39.789-07:002012-08-29T09:32:39.789-07:00Thanks to all of you. I've been using the Elmer's glue that comes with the beginner's kit and have been disappointed because a little dab doesn't hold the paper enough and more than a dab spills out of the side and ends up leaving white yucky film on my beautiful butterflies :-(cofesqhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03784759951675533667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428734466580440271.post-21783788530372932062012-08-16T08:36:36.845-07:002012-08-16T08:36:36.845-07:00Oh I've never thought of trying gel because I ...Oh I've never thought of trying gel because I assumed it would be wetter. Yes, white glue congeals quickly, especially during summer. Good thing Michael's just came out with new 50% coupons. I'm going glue hunting. The white glue gets a "skin" on it rather quickly when I've placed a little puddle of it to dip from on a plastic lid. Martha Stewart All-Purpose Gel Adhesive is the brand I'm using now and it grips the paper pretty fast.Ann Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15425151742060266097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8428734466580440271.post-18124419350535550742012-08-10T13:29:50.096-07:002012-08-10T13:29:50.096-07:00I use Aleen's Tacky as well....works great for...I use Aleen's Tacky as well....works great for me but you have me thinking about the wood and paper glue at Opus.
